My name is Kimberly Ann Morgan. Morgan is my “maiden name,” but I’m not married so I guess that still makes me a maiden.
I was born on October 7, 1980, and graduated in the class of 1999. I want to be a graphic designer when I grow up. In the past, career choices have included, astronaut, secretary, and business owner. I have successfully achieved 2/3 of those aspirations. I was a secretary for almost five years. I was an expert with the 3 hole punch, copy machine, and stapler. I currently have a part time job as a secretary for a bunch of geeks and attend Indiana University NW full time.
I started a very small handcrafted jewelry business called Mimi’s Jewels. I worked myself silly for two years and then decided that the time and energy I put in was not worth it by the amount of money that I was making. It was barely enough to pay my internet bill on a regular basis. I still sell my jewelry and if you’d like to purchase a little piece of style for youself, just visit my myspace page. If I don’t have much posted, message me about custom orders I do those too at no extra charge. Your purchase will go towards my cell phone bill and probably beer. I’m not going to lie. I am originally from Portage, Indiana, but moved to The Colony, Texas from 1990-1998. Texas is a very hot place and everything there really is bigger. In high school I spent the majority of my time playing my french horn in marching band, trying to pass algebra, and practicing my smile in the mirror so that my crooked teeth wouldn’t be as noticeable. I smile all of the time now that I have braces.
I have four best friends that I’ve known since 6th and 9th grade. They are all Texans and say, Ya’ll and Fixin To.
My mom is Mexican but she’s not from Mexico. I guess she would be classified as Hispanic or Chicana. I usually just pick whichever sounds right at the moment. She speaks Spanish and I had a pinata every year for my birthday. My dad is white – not sure what kind of white he is though.
I have an Associate’s Degree from Normandale Community College located in beautiful Bloomington, MN. I am currently back in school at IUN. I will be getting my B.A. in graphic design and photography. I bust my ass to make good grades, something I have found value in as I have become more mature and responsible.
